Open plan office with false ceiling
One of the most popular uses of Artus is for offices. The example here is one with the ceiling 2.7m above the floor. Using the guidance from the British Council of Offices (BCO) Guide, the recommended shape for a perimeter office is 4.5m deep and 6 m wide. A typical Artus selection for this would be:
Cellular offices
Artus is proving to be a versatile option for cellular offices due to the very small plan area of 600 x 600mm. The example here is one with exposed services which are popular aesthetic. It is exactly half of a BCO perimeter zone, i.e. 4.5m deep and 3 m wide. The low load gives a very low noise level and a very low specific fan power. A typical Artus selection for this would be:
Densely occupied conference room
Artus is useful for very challenging spaces such as densely occupied conference room with high cooling loads, but where a low noise level is also required. The design strategy is to keep adding Artus units, and running them more slowly, until the required cooling load and noise level is achieved. The example below is for a 30m2 conference room with a high cooling load but also a low noise requirement. A typical Artus selection for this would be:
Residential living rooms
Artus is being increasingly used for air conditioned living rooms. Two Artus units neatly fit into a living room of, for example, 24m2, with low air flows and low noise. A typical Artus selection for this would be:
Bedrooms
A single Artus unit neatly matches the cooling load for a 14m2 bedroom. The low air flow rate gives a very low noise level, even at 100% of the cooling capacity. A typical Artus selection for this would be:
Note. * Calculated with return air 27°C. ** Noise estimates at observer, NR, to be confirmed by an acoustic consultant.
